Andrew Cook

A gentleman of good taste, profitable ventures, the occasional scandalously good idea, and enough charm to make it all seem effortless.

This is what I do

I work with investors, private equity groups, and hedge funds around the world, focusing on increasing fund profitability through algorithmic trading systems, portfolio optimization, and strategic consulting. My approach bridges quantitative analysis with practical market execution, helping institutional clients navigate complex financial markets while maintaining disciplined risk management and consistent returns. I also advise for a myriad of startups and established technology companies on growth strategy, financials, and operations.

Previously, I founded Cook Investment Firm in 2012, building what became the world's first, and most invested cryptocurrency hedge fund with over 350,000 Bitcoin under management and averaging 34% ROI before a successful exit. In 2016, I launched Five23, combining artificial intelligence with big data to generate investment insights for startups, investors, and multinational companies. We also developed spatial temproal models that helped investors, and proved to invaluable on the battlefield when making strategic decisions. The company was acquired in April 2024 by Sqreem Technologies with a partial sale to Palantir.
